Orchard Timber Products was founded in 2004 and became part of National Timber Group in 2021, enhancing NTG’s footprint as timber specialists in Scotland and strengthening the group’s range of wood flooring. Orchard Timber Product’s customers now also have access to the processing and bespoke moulding capabilities of NTG Scotland from the central processing and distribution hub at Grangemouth.
With 71 employees, Orchard Timber Products covers Edinburgh, Glasgow, The Lothians, Fife, Central and North East Scotland from the two main branches at Forfar and Livingston and the sales office is in Aberdeen. They also have a door factory in Forfar.
They supply timber and associated products, kitchens, bathrooms, door sets, doors and flooring. Both the Forfar and Livingston branches feature excellently presented product showrooms, as well as walk-in shops for general goods and drive-through collection services for bulky items.
Orchard Timber Products has particular expertise in wood flooring, and they are the largest stockist of Kährs Flooring in the UK. With over 40,000m² of Kährs flooring in stock, they offer an unparalleled range of high-quality flooring options.
Kährs, a Swedish flooring company, is the oldest wood floor manufacturer still in operation, dating back to 1857. They developed the first ever engineered wood floor in 1941 and pioneered an innovative glueless joint system in 1999. They have introduced multiple new finishing and treatment techniques from brushed hand-scraping to smoking, recently adding a new ultra-matt lacquer finish to the range.
